This quilt highlights my experience in Desert Storm. I served as a Registered Nurse with the Army Nurse Corp, 4222nd CSH in a combat zone. While I didn't see combat, I did care for wounded soldiers, including the enemy. The skies took on the orange and black colors from the smoke of the oil wells set on fire by Saddam's soldiers. I know this quilt will evoke many memories, good and bad, from those who receive it. Why not touch someone who served and thank them for their service.
